Sunday Salon

The Sunday Salon.com

It's Sunday once again. I have to say, I'm not sure how much reading I will get done today. I want to spend time this afternoon preparing for my trip home for the holiday. Every year I tell myself I won't wait until the night before to pack and of course that's what I end up doing. This year, I want to keep this promise to myself. I also want to do a little cleaning (I can't go away for a few days without cleaning. I like coming home to a clean house).

Anyway, I probably should try to squeeze some reading in today. The Ten Best Days of My Life is due Tuesday (I'm not sure if I will be able to renew it) and it's tradition for me to start reading the new Alex Cross book during my flight home. I'm really excited to read Cross Country, however I don't want to rush through my current read. Hopefully, I can read some tonight and finish it tomorrow.

I went to Barnes and Noble after church today to use my coupons. Why do I feel the need to use every single book coupon I receive? Isn't this how I got myself into this situation of having crammed book shelves of unread purchased books? I know this, but yet went anyway. After browsing for an hour or so, I finally decided to buy The Christmas Sweater. I wanted something different, so why not be festive? I also bought a book marker (I love book markers and just recently started purchasing them again. As a child, I collected book markers and as I got older and moved several times, my collection was lost.) I also left the store with a list of titles to add to my already long TBR list. I really can't complain about my morning: I heard a great, uplifting sermon and spent 90 minutes at a book store. A great start to my Sunday.

Best wishes for a peaceful holiday and safe travels. Happy Thanksgiving!

My name is Debra Owsley and I am the owner and creator of Simply Said Reading Accessories www.simply-said.net. I create by hand a full line of bookmarks, and book thongs, for book lovers. As an avid reader myself, I have designed this line with us in mind. They come in many categories, such as motivational, provocative, wit and wisdom, I love my pet, and a children’s line and more.
During this holiday season what would more perfect and fitting to give your fellow book lovers? They also are great gifts for teachers, your children’s classmates, your church congregation, your co-workers, or and one else you want to give a thoughtful and useful, inexpensive gift to for the holidays. If you have a lot of people to buy for, you can buy assorted packages, mixed and matched for your needs .I also can create mini packages for specific people on your list by request, to make it even more special. I also do custom work if you want to create bookmarks for your book club.
They are wonderful stocking stuffers and they will fit into a holiday card for easy mailing. Please visit my site www.simply-said.net as well as my www.myspace.com/odebsimplysaid
